The online course “Activism 101,” conducted in 2023 in collaboration with the International Center on Nonviolent Conflict (ICNC), focused on the essential techniques of activism in countries like Iran, where dictatorial and totalitarian regimes prevail. The course delved into the core principles of activism, drawing on similar global experiences to offer strategies tailored for effective resistance in such challenging environments.
Participants were guided through the historical context of struggles and protests in Iran since the 1979 revolution, while engaging with key topics such as “Developing a Strategy,” “Envisioning a Democratic Future and the Path to Achieving It,” “Managing Risk, Repression, and Arrest,” “Selecting and Refining Tactics through Comprehensive Training,” and “Navigating the Digital Landscape.”
