This course is designed for those of you who wish to effectively amplify the voices of political and ideological prisoners by creating narratives, building campaigns, and producing various types of artistic content or social media content to highlight the widespread human rights abuses in Iran. It aims to reach both domestic audiences and the international community. Perhaps you, too, have been a political or ideological prisoner, and you want to effectively share your observations and experiences. In that case, this course will also be highly beneficial for you.
In this course, we will begin by exploring concepts like “political crime” and “the status of political cases” in Iran. We will discuss why citizens and activists in Iran are tortured, imprisoned, or even killed simply because of their beliefs, perspectives, or political and civil actions, all of which are basic human rights.
We will also cover campaign creation and, in greater depth, storytelling and narrative building on these issues.
By the end of the course, not only will you gain insight into a political case, but you will also become familiar with the principles and techniques of storytelling, equipping yourself with valuable skills to tell the stories you wish to share.
Remember that the stronger and more impactful these narratives of suffering and inhumane conditions are, the more they can shed light in the darkness.
