Perhaps many of us Iranians don’t realize that we are living in times where political activism has become a field of knowledge. Meanwhile, the lives of many of us are so intertwined with the current situation that activism has become an integral part of our daily existence.
This inevitable situation leads to inevitable consequences—from our specific use of the digital space and platforms like Instagram to repression, the possibility of arrest, and the necessity of familiarizing ourselves with tactics that, depending on the situation, can offer windows of hope and pave the way to freedom.
In the course “Activism in Today’s Iran: Foundations and Methods”, designed in collaboration with the International Center on Nonviolent Conflict (ICNC), we address these issues comprehensively. While activism, due to human commonalities, follows certain universal principles around the world, every society, including Iran, has unique conditions that must be taken into account to be effective.
In this course, we aim to focus more on these specific conditions. So, stay with us as we learn and practice activism to create a prosperous Iran and free, happy Iranians.
