Legal-Obstacles-to-Women's-Active-Participation-in-the-Iranian-Workforce

This webinar series will examine the most important challenges facing women in Iran’s workforce. The first session will offer a historical overview of the women’s rights movement in the industrialized world and explore the changes in women’s labor rights in Iran before and after the Islamic Revolution. Participants will also review the status of women in the workforce in Muslim-majority Asian countries. The second session will overview the legal and normative challenges facing women in the Iranian workforce, examining subjects such as equal pay, sexual harassment, and many others from both a legal and a normative perspective. In the third and final session, issues such as homemaking, other work that takes place inside the home, and problems that result from both will be discussed.
