Abbas Shafiea was injured by agents’ baton strikes and kicks on 3 November 2022 and lost his life two days later. The authorities took his body hostage and did not give it to his family for one week. Posting a video on social networks, Abbas’s brother said, “say Abbas’s name loudly who gave his life for Iran”.A video has been shared on social media showing Abbas dancing. It was Abbas’s 42nd birthday on 29 November. His daughter celebrated his birthday with a cake at his resting place.
