Little Baloch girl Hasti was only 7 years old. Hasti was her parents’ only daughter and had two brothers. She was about to start school. She was injured in the head on 30 September 2022. The government agents were deploying tear gases at the same place as the incident, and she suffocated from the tear gas. The “Halvash” news agency reported 91 people dead in the Zahedan events on the same day. Local activists called the day “Zahedan Bloody Friday”. Hasti was on her way to a prayer house for salat with her grandmother on the day the incident happened. Her family was under the government’s pressure not to speak out about her death. After 53 days, Hasti’s story and image reached the media. She is just one of the dozens of children killed in the revolutionary uprise in the Sistan and Balochistan province.
