Taher Azizi was the father of a young child from Piranshahr, West Azerbaijan province. He was fatally shot on 20 November 2022 by the agents in Piranshahr, when he was among the protesters.
His six-year-old son’s voice will not be forgotten when he was yelling at his father’s grave “Taher is a hero, a martyr from Kurdistan”. Her mother sang a lullaby at his son’s grave. “Your mother cannot do anything for you,” Taher’s mother said. “My only wish is that your blood was not shed in vain”.
