In the first session of the Text and Video Blogging webinar series, Alireza Rezaei shares his own blogging experiences and discusses valuable points on writing for the web. He first explains the differences between personal writings and writings for a general audience and then points to the use of social networks such as “Balatarin” and “Donbaleh” as a means of attracting readers to a blog. Among the advantages of these networks are their accessibility by an audience beyond the bloggers, the participation of non-bloggers, and the possibility to share posts, photos, and videos by bloggers. Finally, Mr. Rezaei relates the threats facing Iranian bloggers and offers some recommendations for countering these threats.
